Shark Selfie

Have you dropped your phone in the sea?!

Ever since the invention of the mobile phone, thousands of these pocket-sized technological wizards have fallen over-board, tumbling to the bottom of the ocean never to be seen again. However, if somehow these devices could survive in water and the deep-sea pressure environment, would it be far-fetched to imagine they could be picked up and used for selfies by the creatures of the sea? Okay, so they don't have opposable thumbs or the dexterity to operate smart-screens or buttons, but, well, is it that far-fetched?

Could this picture above have been snapped by a an inquisitive shark, his razor like teeth lined up in a half-open mouth for the selfie-of-selfies, and an eye squinting because of the flash.

Well, of course not. Wow. I can't believe you contemplated such a thing. Clearly this is another pocket picture taken by my rubbish snap-happy old phone.

Can we be serious?
At Pocket Picture Taker we like to have fun in a very tongue in cheek fashion, but to we've decided to add a charity link on all our posts to draw attention to the work being taken by some fab organisations. We'll try to link it to the posts, so, on this "shark selfie" post, we'd like to highlight the work of the Official Shark Trust who are working to rebuild shark and ray populations.
