Rings of Saturn

As NASA makes strides on Mars with a rota-copter (strides with flight?) we at PPT are pretty excited to announce our roving pocket photographer has unearthed a gem of a image taken on a previous visit to Saturn.

You may recall we posted a fly-by snap of Saturn a few years ago, and at the time we hoped to bring you an image of the rings. Well, one of our researchers was scouring our records archive for videos to send to You've Been Framed (buggers have rejected two absolute of our funnies so far!) and stumbled upon this stunning image of the sixth planet from the Sun.

It's images like this that drive humankind to continue to explore our Solar system. The rings look tangible, like you could just reach out and grab a scoopful. Or perhaps it is an accidental snap taken by my over-eager snap-happy phone as it came out of pocket. The truth is out there. Somewhere.

Can we be serious?
At Pocket Picture Taker we like to have fun in a very tongue in cheek fashion, but to please the internet we've decided to add a charity link on all our posts to draw attention to the fab work being taken by some fab organisations. We'll try to link it to the posts, so, we're taking about space, planets, Saturn, Uranus....Tentative link, but as we're being serious (yet fun in our own unique way) we would like to employ our childish humour and refer you to the work of Prostate Cancer. 1 in 8 men will get prostate cancer, so supporting the work of charities (because there are others doing great work too) researching in to this area is vital to dealing with this cruel disease.
